The Electric Power Engineering Section has scientific competences in the areas of network and equipment modelling and the simulation of stationary, dynamic and transient processes in electrical energy systems, the planning and management of electrical networks of all voltage levels and also of coupled energy systems (power-heat-gas), in the linear and non-linear mixed integer optimization of coupled systems with respect to different target variables as well as multi-target optimization, frequency control and network control interconnection, redispatch and redispatch optimization, stability analysis, harmonic analysis and analysis of harmonic stability as well as network service provision and optimization across voltage levels.
