Simultaneous spectroradiometry: A study of solar UV irradiance at two altitudes verfasst von M. Blumthaler, A. R. Webb, G. Seckmeyer, A. F. Bais, M. Huber, B. Mayer Abstract Spectrally resolved measurements of solar ultraviolet UV radiation were made at adjacent mountain top and valley sites, vertically separated by 1 km.

We characterized seasonal variations in microclimate and CLR incidence across different altitudes and shading systems, and integrated effects between the environment, shading systems, microclimate and CLR into a piecewise structural equation model. The diurnal temperature range was higher in unshaded systems, but differences decreased with altitude. Humidity related indicators in shaded systems decreased with altitude
Ventricular structure, function, and mechanics at high altitude chronic remodeling in Sherpa vs. short term lowlander adaptation verfasst von Mike Stembridge, Philip N. Ainslie, Michael G. Hughes, Eric J.
Trees with a dbh 10 cm were identified and measured in 21 10 10 m plots, starting at 750 m altitude. Temperature and relative humidity sensors were deployed in two habitats, leaf litter and 50 cm above the ground, and two vegetation types, grasslands and forest, at six altitudes over a 48 h period.
Implementation and Validation of a Long Term Measurement System for Single Event Burnout at High Altitude verfasst von C. Beckemeier, L. Fauth, J. Friebe Abstract In electrified aircraft, cosmic radiation can be a potential hazard to power electronic systems like drive train inverters and dc/dc converters. As the increased failure rate at high altitudes usually requires a voltage derating, a detailed knowledge on the failure ...
Intrinsic ventricular function does not explain reduced stroke volume at rest and during exercise at high altitude verfasst von Mark Stembridge, P. N. Ainslie, E. J. Stöhr, M. Tymko, T. A. Day, A. Bakker, M. G. Hughes, K. J. Smith, C. K. Willie, N.

Cultivation of high altitude lakes in Atacama Desert as extraterrestrial analogous habitats for astrobiological research. verfasst von Katharina Runzheimer, Jens Boy, Di na Boy, M.
The NWM based tropospheric delays are currently provided either site specific with a limited spatial coverage, or on two dimensional grids close to the Earth surface, which cannot be used for high altitudes. We introduce a new method of representing NWM derived tropospheric zenith hydrostatic and wet delays. A large volume of NWM derived data is parameterized with surface values and additional two or three coefficients for their verti...
One strategy for an external calibration or validation includes the use of ground data upward continued to satellite altitude. This strategy can only be applied regionally, because sufficiently accurate ground data are only available for selected areas. In this study, gravity anomalies over Europe are upward continued to gravitational gradients at GOCE altitude.
Transient requirements may have significant impact on system design and operating range and will therefore be addressed in this paper During in flight operation, air has to be compressed from the ambient to a pressure near standard conditions, which allows the application of state of the art PEM FC and ensures a constant power density independent from the operating altitude. A centrifugal compressor is chosen for pressurization of the...
