Module Description

This module gives an overview about different topics in the field of energy informatics.

  • In the lecture, the role of computer science in the energy domain is presented on the base of different topics to illustrate the links between energy technology and management and computer science. Some examples are:
    • Energy markets
    • Network planning & operations management
    • Virtual power plants
  • In the seminar, individual topics are focused and presented in depth using concrete examples. For this purpose, the students write short seminar papers and prepare a corresponding presentation.

This course is offered in the Master Computer Science/Technical Informatics and in the Master Electrical Engineering/Energy Technology.
