Students' and Doctoral Theses

We are happy that you are interested in getting involved with our work! We offer great scientific and personal advising, an inspirational work environment and companiable social interactions in our group.

BACHELOR/MASTER THESES, PROJECT AND SEMINAR THESES

We offer

  • bachelor and master theses
  • project/seminar theses
  • etc.

that contribute to our research.  Students from the engineering disciplines energy engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and even industrial engineering can find suitable topics at our institute.  Thesis work can be started on April 1st or October 1st (it is possible to start on a different date in some individual cases). 

The available thesis topics are presented and assigned during an informational evening event, to which you are cordially invited.

The following dates apply for starting on the 1st of October:

  • From the 1st of June you can register in the following Stud.IP group: CLICK HERE
  • Registration deadline: 30th of June.
  • Information evening: mid-July; the exact date will be announced in the Stud.IP group
  • Topic assignment/allocation: by the end of July at the latest

The following dates apply for starting on the 1st of April:

  • From the 1st of December you can register in the following Stud.IP group: (link will be published here)
  • Registration deadline: 31st of December.
  • Information evening: mid-January; the exact date will be announced in the Stud.IP group
  • Topic assignment/allocation: by the end of January at the latest

In exceptional cases, you can also contact us outside the above-mentioned timeframe. In this case, please send your request by e-mail to join-ees@ifes.uni-hannover.de and include the following information:

  • Your degree program
  • The type of thesis you would like to do (bachelor's/master's thesis/seminar paper)
  • Your desired start date
  • Your interests and how they relate to our research portfolio

Note: depending on the topic, it might be helpful to have completed the course Energy Storage 1 or Fuel Cells and Water Electrolysis ahead of time.

DOCTORAL AND POSTDOC THESES

Even if there are no current job postings, we would still be happy to accept your spontaneous application! Send us your informative application in which you explain your areas of interest from our research topics to Prof. Hanke-Rauschenbach (join-ees@ifes.uni-hannover.de).
