German title: Grundlagen (und Rechenmethoden) der elektrischen Energiewirtschaft

The lecture held by Dipl.-Ing. Michael Kranz presents an introduction to the basic principles of the electric power industry. Lecture is held on Tuesdays from 05:00 pm to 08:15 pm. The exercises are held on Wednesdays from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm.

The countercyclical exam in WiSe is oral. If you are interested to take the countercyclical exam, please send an E-Mail regarding the arrangement of an appointment before the 15th January to energiewirtschaft@ifes.uni-hannover.de. Without proper registration via E-Mail at our Institute, the participation in the oral exam is not possible.

Description

Students learn basic energy management concepts, energy demand, resources and reserves, structure and regulatory framework in Germany and Europe as well as thermal power plants. They learn terms and interrelationships of renewable energy production: technology, economic significance and developments, transmission and distribution grids, economics of the energy industry, electricity trading and market mechanisms as well as the challenges for a sustainable energy supply of the future.

Only Principles and Calculation Methods of the Electric Power Industry:
Students expand their knowledge with the necessary calculation methods for the economic assessment of energy technology processes and projects. They also learn the requirements for scientific preparation and presentation of complex topics and gain presentation experience.

The  anti-cyclical examination in the winter semsters is held orally. If you are interested in taking an anti-cyclical exam, please contact us by e-mail energiewirtschaft@ifes.uni-hannover.de. Without a registration at the institute the participation in the examination is not permittable.
